Celebrity Ad Campaigns

Jennifer Garner Scores Her First Fashion Campaign. Five More Celebrities Who Should Be Next

Jennifer Garner has scored her first ever fashion ad campaign for luxury brand, Max Mara. Actually, the 41-year-old actress is the first ever celebrity face for the Italian fashion house. Max Mara unveiled the first image for the fall 2013 campaign, which features Jennifer wearing the brand's signature cashmere camel colored coat. While Garner is no stranger to representing a brand, she has previously been the face of Neutrogena, this is the first time she signed on to work with a fashion brand. The ads will begin to appear in fashion magazines and newspapers this September.

What do you think of Jennifer Garner's Max Mara ad? Do you think it was the right choice for the brand?

So far 2013 has brought us a few amazing celebrity ad campaigns, most recently Nicole Kidman looking so sexy for Jimmy Choo and Rooney Mara for Calvin Klein's newest fragrance, Down Town. Probably one of my personal favorite campaigns for fall 2013 is Tom Sturridge and Sienna Miller for Burberry. However, I haven't met a Burberry ad campaign that I dislike yet.

With the news of Jennifer Garner's Max Mara campaign, it got me thinking about other celebrities that have never had a fashion campaign, or rather those famous faces that I'd like to see represent fashion brands. Here is a list of five more celebrities who should be the next to land a major fashion campaign.

Kerry Washington for Prada or Miu Miu: I'd love to see Kerry Washington land a fashion campaign, she has such sophisticated personal style. I think Prada or Miu Miu would be a good brand for the Scandal start to represent. She looked amazing in the white Prada dress at the Rome premiere of Django Unchained, and for both the Golden Globes and Oscars she opted to wear Miu Miu, which is a subsidiary of Prada. Her Vanity Fair and ELLE covers were both so striking, and her accompanying editorials in both were inspired.

Emily VanCamp for Gucci: After seeing Emily VanCamp's cover and fashion editorial for Canada's FASHION magazine, I was convinced the Revenge star had a natural talent for modeling. She looked stunning in a sleek reptile print Gucci dress on the magazine's cover. For her Lucky magazine editorial in June of 2012, the actress also wore a pleated coral gown from the Italian fashion house. While her Revenge wardrobe is mostly made up of American designers including Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors and her red carpet style has not included anything from Gucci, I still believe she would be a good fit for the luxury brand.

Emma Stone for Calvin Klein: While we have seen The Amazing Spider Man actress work her magic as one of the faces of Revlon, Emma has never been the face of a fashion campaign. Emma is a huge fan of Calvin Klein, often being spotted seated front row during New York Fashion Week. And let's be honest when she wore the sherbert colored Calvin Klein column gown to the Golden Globes in 2011 it was a truly stunning fashion moment. Traditionally, Klein uses models for his clothing and has celebs endorse fragrance and intimates, but maybe Emma could be the next face of Calvin Klein jeans following in the footsteps of Kate Bosworth.

Emmy Rossum for Carolina Herrera or Donna Karan: While Carolina Herrera would be my first pick for Emmy to represent, Herrera has yet to turn to a famous face to star in her ad campaigns. Maybe Emmy could be the first, she has an elegant ladylike approach to fashion and always stuns in Herrera's designs. However, I think Donna Karan could be a good fit for the Shameless star as well. While Karan is used to selecting high profile fashion models such as Miranda Kerr, Karlie Kloss and Isabeli Fontana, she hired Twilight star, Ashley Greene to represent her DKNY label for Spring 2012. Emmy is no stranger to brand representation. In 2012 she starred in commercials and print ads for Cotton Inc., even singing the company's famous theme, "The Fabric of Our Lives."

Elizabeth Banks for Alexander McQueen: This is my dark horse celebrity/fashion brand ad campaign pairing. Alexander McQueen has never tapped a celebrity to endorse their brand or image, but this might be a good time to start with Elizabeth Banks being the perfect choice. With much anticipation, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set to be released this November. In March the cast's promo portraits were released, and Elizabeth's character, Effie Trinket, was donning a hot pink organza dress from the designer's Fall 2012 collection. Most recently, a still from the film was released showing Banks wearing the famous butterfly dress from the London fashion house's spring 2011 collection. Not to mention, Banks always looks amazing in Sarah Burton's design creations.

It would definitely be ironic if my picks turned out to be a reality. I definitely think Kerry Washington and Emma Stone could be landing campaign's soon, they are continually topping best dressed lists. What celebrities would you like to see representing luxury brands?

Jennifer Lawrence Miss Dior Campaign Images Revealed

Dior has revealed Jennifer Lawrence's Miss Dior campaign images and they are simply stunning. The 22-year-old actress was photographed by Willy Vanderperre for the campaign and styled by Olivier Rizzo. The images feature the Oscar nominee wearing designs from Dior's Spring 2013 RTW collection accessorized with Dior jewels and of course those gorgeous chain-handled Miss Dior handbags.

I especially love the black and white images of Jennifer. I think however, the one of her sitting and holding the cream colored handbag might be my personal favorite. Her hair and makeup look, which was perfected by Anthony Turner and Aaron de Mey is just beautiful. She looks so grown up and sophisticated, yet at the same time has a youthful innocent appeal.

I think some will find it hard to grasp that it is really Jennifer in these photos, but I don't feel they are so completely overdone that her true self gets lost.

These gorgeous print images will begin appearing in fashion and lifestyle publications later this month with more to come in April.
