Collections to Covet: Dior Spring/Summer 2013 Handbags

They say accessories make the outfit. I am not sure if that is true in all instances, but with Dior's Spring/Summer 2013 Handbag collection I doubt anyone's ensemble good go wrong. This collection of classic and uber elegant bags are totally splurge worthy. In addition to their signature square style of bags featuring rounded top handles, Dior created a few bags in a trapezoidal shape, which are quite lovely and have a youthful appeal. Maybe Jennifer Lawrence, had a hand in the design inspiration for the younger Dior fashionistas? The crocodile textured handbags, are so chic, with a sophisticated and vintage feel all at once.

Perhaps the two most eye-catching designs of the entire collection are the 3D floral print bag featuring a swirling assortment of pastel flowers and the grey bag encrusted with a colorful jeweled butterfly. Is it possible for a handbag to be this striking?

The colors are perfect for the warmer season with the pretty pastels, warm hues with a grey undertone so you'll have no problem accessorizes a bag with your attire.

Which stylish Dior handbag is your favorite?

Collections to Covet: Tata Naka F/W 2013

If Eric Damen is looking for more 1980's fashion inspiration to style the characters of The Carrie Diaries, he can turn to the shapely silhouettes and pastel hues featured in Tata Naka's F/W 2013 collection. Designing duo and twin sisters, Tamara and Natasha Surguladze have introduced a range of stylish ensembles comprised of over-sized tweeds and vibrant prints, that look as if they were plucked straight from Lisa Frank folders or the artwork of Picasso.

The Pretty Hearts Off-Shoulder Bow Dress reminds me a bit of Molly Ringwald's prom dress she made in the movie Pretty In Pink.

What do you think of the collection? If you want to add some of these pieces to your fall wardrobe visit the Tata Naka trunkshow via Moda Operandi going on now through April 4th, 2013.

Collections to Covet: Katie Ermilio F/W 2013

Recently, as I was looking through my emails, I noticed a trunkshow alert for a designer by the name of Katie Ermilio. Why have I not heard of this young woman? Well obviously I've been living under a rock to have not noticed her designs, because they are breathtaking. Ermilio's F/W 2013 is filled with tailored mixed separates and stunning dresses made for red carpet moments. Intrigued by her designs, I then read her bio, and two interesting things popped out at me: 1. Katie's grandfather was the designer of the iconic green jacket awarded for winning The Masters Tournament. 2. Her grandfather was the personal clothier to Grace Kelly.

Ermilio has also created a capsule collection for Barneys and it's easy to see that the collection has a very elegant lady like feel with a youthful energy. The collection includes several evening looks in bright colors and fashion-forward silhouettes. My favorite pieces are the Two-Tone Mermaid Gown and the Peplum Hem Skirt.

I would love to see Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Amanda Seyfried and Keira Knightley wear any one of these looks from the F/W 2013 collection on the red carpet.

What do you think of Katie Ermilio's designs?

Visit Moda Operandi for the Katie Ermilio Trunkshow. Going on now through April 3, 2013 at 11 PM EDT.

Collections to Covet: Aquazzura S/S 2013

Shoes normally are not the accessory item I get most jazzed about. I'm dazzled by jewelry and handbags. I like shoes, they are essential for an outfit but, I am just not one of the women who swoons over shoes. However, while recently pouring over the WWD Spring Accessorizes report, I noticed a pair of cutout booties that looked as if they had been decorated with candy buttons. I thought to myself, what is Kate Spade up to now?

But the brand responsible for these flirty shoes is, Aquazzura. Based in Florence, Italy, the name Aquazzura comes from the Italian word "acqua azzurra" which means blue water. These sexy and fabulous heels, booties and sandals are the creation of Edgardo Osorio, whose ultimate goal was to design stylish wearable footwear for all women without the designer price tag. I love the super sassy names given to each style like Martini Strappy Chain Sandal and Sexy Thing Cutout Booties.

Fashionable ladies like, Nina Garcia and Olivia Palermo are fans of the sexy shoe brand and for Issa's Fall 2012 RTW show in London the models ensembles were styled with gorgeous Aquazurra shoes.

What do you think of these designs? Prices for the Spring/Summer collection range from $385.00 to $995.00 and you can purchase Aquazzura shoes at Shopbop.

Collections to Covet: Baukjen SS 2013

If you are looking for easy, relaxed pieces in the freshest colors to liven up your wardrobe this spring, British brand Baukjen's latest arrivals might just be the perfect fit. The collection features an abundance of  lightweight fabrics such as jersey, chiffon and the very popular chambray. Hues of punchy peach, champagne and steel blue can standout alone or combine for statement making outfit color combinations. I love the styling possibilities for effortless looks that can easliy transition from season to season.

Here are a few of my favorites.

L to R: Elsa Shirt Dress; $179.00// Maggie Loose Tank, $65.00 and Jamie Pleat Skirt, $159.00// Sophia Sequin Jacket, $265.00//

Adding a pair of tights and a cute pair of boots to the Elsa Shirt Dress would create a chic look for fall. I adore the glittering bronzed Sophia Sequin Jacket. You can pair it with a skirt for an eye-cathing date night look or a pair of jeans for a dressed up casual look.

What do you guys think? Which pieces would you add to your Spring/Summer wardrobe?

Collections to Covet: For Love & Lemons About a Girl Spring 2013

I am sure many of you will not know whether to be offended by For Love & Lemons About a Girl Spring 2013 collection or to applaud them for their unconventional sartorial approach to their lookbook. The collection is filled with sheer fabrics in sugary sweet hues, romantic ruffles and flirty skirts. These bold yet feminine pieces are perfect for the girl who wants to wake up her spring/summer wardrobe while breaking all the rules of fashion to set her own trends.

The theme of the lookbook is to capture the delicate innocence and awkward substance of 1970's teen angst. Goal achieved! Model Ashley Smith rocks some dreamy ensembles in fun and rebellious ways. The photographs capture and invoke that feeling of nostalgia without giving the cheap vibe or look of a modern day promotional model. You know what I am talking about, because you've all seen those pictures.

Here are a few of my favorite looks from the For Love & Lemons Spring 2013 collection:
