Celebrity Color Crush - Emerald

The year started off with glamorous green gowns floating down the red carpet at the Golden Globes. Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss showed off her curves in an elegant strapless Donna Karan emerald gown. Mila Kunis turned heads in a sensational single-shoulder Vera Wang gown. Angelina Jolie dazzled in a sequined embellished, long-sleeved Versace gown.

The biggest style moment featuring emerald came from William and Catherine's royal wedding in April. The bride's sister, Pippa, slipped out of her white Alexander McQueen bridesmaid gown into an elegant Alice Temperley custom gown for the reception.

Diane Von Furstenberg, The Row and Roland Mouret's Fall 2011 RTW collections featured several pieces of the bold color in lush fabrics and dramatic silhouettes.

Celebrity Color Crush - Scarlet

The red carpet at the Emmy Awards was filled with various shades of the color red earlier this fall. Lea Michele wore a gorgeous curve hugging, scarlet Marchesa gown and Kate Winslet looked sensational wearing a scarlet Elie Saab gown with plunging neckline. Scarlet is a bold, statement making color that adds vamp and class to your wardrobe.

Proving that you can double the edge to your look, Angelina Jolie donned a sexy red pout with her scarlet Versace sheath at the Tokyo premiere of Moneyball.

Who says red heads can't wear red? Emma Stone made it look effortless in this scarlet Carven maxi-dress.

These confident celebrities love wearing the color scarlet too.

Sarah Jessica Parker wore this stunning scarlet Giambattista Valli gown to the Moscow premiere of I Don't Know How She Does It. Rachel Weisz looked radiant in this gorgeous Valentino scarlet minidress at the screening of her movie Whistleblower in NYC. Anna Faris stepped out to the GQ Men of the Year event in this fabulous scarlet Preen frock featuring an embroidered bodice and full skirt.

A classic red pout always makes for the perfect polished finish to your look. Tyra Banks added deep scarlet lip color completely brightening up her complexion.

Take your pout to the next level by applying a matte lipstick in scarlet and top it with your favorite lip balm for a touch of shine.

Celebrity Color Crush - Dove Gray

Shades of gray can be seen popping up in fashion palettes year round. One such color that that is becoming quite a popular shade is dove gray, which is a medium shade of gray that has hints of blue or pink, like a dove.

Last week singer Taylor Swift wore a  beautiful J. Mendel gown with flowing train to the CMA's. Even the Duchess of Cambridge was spotted donning the color at a gala event in a single-shoulder, draped Jenny Packham gown.

Designer Zac Posen crafted several gowns using the romantic color for his spring 2012 runway collection.

Looking Good!

Here are a few more of our favorite celebrity looks wearing this lovely color.

Actress Zoe Saldana made a statement accenting her dove gray J.Mendel dress with bold, burgundy Brian Atwood pumps. Heidi Klum wowed in this dove gray Roberto Cavalli beaded gown at the amfAR event this past fall. Edgy accessories gave her old Hollywood glam look a modern twist. Actress Reese Witherspoon keeps cozy with mixed textures in this furry dove gray coat paired with black suede booties.

The eyes have it!

Katie Holmes used the color to soften up her look, giving her smokey eye an ethereal tone.

Celebrity Color Crush - Cobalt Blue

Seems that the red carpet is going through a bit of a blue period. Last week Twilight beauties Kristen Stewart and Ashely Greene both donned cobalt blue colored ensembles. Actress Amanda Seyfried opted for an electric blue tuxedo short H&M ensemble at the UK premiere of In Time, then in Berlin wore a cobalt, sexy cut-out Lyn Devon frock. It girl Pippa Middleton was spotted wearing blue on her way to work in London as well.

The color is even popping up in beauty palettes. Chanel created a denim inspired nail polish line for Fashion's Night Out featuring three bold colors of blue. The 80s staple, blue eye-shadow gets a modern twist as the base palette for a smokey eye. Check out how Emma Stone accented with a hint of indigo, making her eyes sparkle!

Fashion Week Fall 2011~ Derek Lam

Derek Lam’s latest collection is truly a frivolous play at American sportswear. The show opened with Arizona Muse in a baby blue peacoat, simple white button-up, and an interesting black skirt with a zipper right up and down center front. It's definitely a look for a breezy girl with a life on the go.

One of my favorite looks that he hit trend-on is look 6: a cocoon-type skirt in an interesting print paired with a stylish leather hoodie with waxed fur sleeves to achieve a “wet fur” look. It was very chic.

Other than that, there was a lot of variety in the show, so there is definitely something for everyone in the collection. I’m not 100% sure if I’m a fan of how he styled some of the peacoats as dresses, but the pieces stand well enough on their own for him to get away with it.

Another of my favorite looks is a red leather peacoat paired with a midnight collared shirt and divine two toned pants (which is ultra slimming by the way) in look 14. I’m in love with the whole red, white, and blue thing at the moment!
