Italian fashion house Gianfranco Ferré has named Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi as their new creative directors. The styling duo have a long history with the brand -- the pair recently designed Ferré's 2012 Spring and Summer collection.
Citron and Piaggi worked closely with Gianfranco Ferré, who passed away in June 2007.
In 2009 the fashion house filed for bankruptcy and was sold earlier this year to Dubai-based distributor Paris Group. Abdulkader Sankari, founder of the Paris Group, has denied plans to sell the brand and vows to return Gianfranco Ferré to its former status as the supreme symbol of Italian luxury.
