In The Mood For: Fall's Best Emerald Green Looks, Inspired by NYFW

Pantone selected Emerald green as this year's color of the year. Fashion Designers incorporated the jewel-toned hue into their fall 2013 collections in striking ways, creating many desirable looks. The runways for New York Fashion Week were filled with emerald green red carpet gowns (thank you Monique Lhuillier), jackets and accessories. These pieces were just waiting for buyers, editors and celebrities to scoop them up pronto. I have picked my six favorite fashionable emerald green ensembles presented at New York Fashion Week that I think are the must haves for fall.

Can't you just picture Jennifer Lawrence in this stunning sleeveless Badgley Mischka gown at the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire? I'd love to see Eva Mendes wear this Cushnie et Ochs dress with sexy cut-out details to the premiere of The Place Beyond the Pines. I think Rihanna needs to pick up this Altuzarra dress, it's completely her style.

I love the sparkling mini from Kaufmanfranco, I think Elle Fanning would look simply adorable in this flirty look. The Jill Stuart jacket is one of my personal favorites, a trendy, modern spin on a power suit perfect for the office or even date night.  Who wouldn't want to wear this long-sleeved belted, leather dress from Calvin Klein?

Which pieces are your favorites?

Rose Byrne in Jill Stuart the I Give It A Year Sydney Premiere

Rose attended the Sydney premiere of I Give It A Year wearing this sleeveless wine colored Jill Stuart ensemble featuring an A-line leather skirt and silk top.

The actress accented her look with a black Kotur roll clutch, black Casadei pumps, gold Misaki hoop earrings and an Adeler cocktail ring.

Neutral makeup and a soft up-do added the finishing touches.

What do you think of Rose's movie premiere ensemble?

Nikki Reed in Jill Stuart at the 2012 InStyle Summer Soiree

Nikki stepped out to the InStyle Summer Soiree in this short-sleeved, floral printed Jill Stuart sheath.

The Twilight actress added Alexandre Birman t-strap pumps and a merlot Lauren Merkin clutch and Meira T earrings to complete her beautiful look.

What do you think of Nikki's look? Do you think she should have opted for something a little more bright and summery or do you think the floral pattern says it all?

Jill Stuart, Versace and Ralph Lauren all served up delightful stylish scoops of sorbet hues in every color of the rainbow for Spring 2012. We cannot seem to get enough of this girly sweet trend.

The key to pulling off this trend successfully is mixing separates to avoid the Easter egg look. Opt for clean lines and avoid neutrals as a base, but rather use them to accessorize. Pile on the pastels by balancing solids on solids.

Sneak Peek: Daphne Groeneveld for Jill Stuart Spring Summer 2012

One of our favorite collections from New York Fashion Week, Jill Stuart recently released images of her Spring 2012 ad campaign. The ads feature supermodel Daphne Groeneveld. Shot in the back of a luxury car by Mario Sorrenti, the portraits feature Daphne wearing a mix of ensembles feturing light as air fabrics in a swirling palette of cotton-candy colors.

New York Fashion Week: Jill Stuart

Girly sweet feminine treats, that's what fashion designer Jill Stuart served up on the runway for her Spring 2012 collection. The ensembles were a swirling confection of cotton-candy colors in shades of baby blue, lemon yellow, mint green and bubble gum pink.

Inspired by an art book she picked up in a lingerie shop in Denmark, Stuart presented an aesthetic of doll-like frocks that reminded us of 1960's California Barbie.

Drop-waist dresses with pleats and scallop hemlines, micro-mini shorts, and quilted satin bed jackets made for sexy yet playful looks.

Prints were not forgotten. Palm trees, birds and cherry blossoms added a whimsical vitality to the ensembles. The designer said they reminded her of "happier times."
