London Fashion Week Spring 2013 RTW: House of Holland

Dear 90s Babies: Your teenage years are back!

Watching House of Holland’s Spring 2013 show made me feel a little bit like Lisa Frank was hired as the stylist for Dawson’s Creek. Henry Holland presented us with vibrant colors in those patterns that defined many of our teenage years thanks to Kurt Cobain's plaids and tie-dyes, while throwing pretty florals in the mix. The colors were vibrant and attention grabbing while the collection brought in a full 1990’s flashback with spaghetti straps and shift style silhouettes.

We’ve seen this decade raging back with peplum, spotted heavily in fashion weeks around the world, and House of Holland only solidifies that we are revisiting the generation responsible for making teenage angst cool.

The models sported sneaker-esque high tops, bed head and lack of sleep makeup, another trend for Spring runways. House of Holland brought us one of the largest jump suits I’ve seen yet and also, the graphic baby tee in ironic messages like “Bitchin". If you miss the days when Delia*s was still a mail order catalog, then House of Holland Spring 2013 is right up your alley!

London Fashion Week Spring 2013 RTW: Sass & Bide

A recent trip to Peru and Buenos Aires provided designers, Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke with the inspiration for the Spring 2013 collection for Sass & Bide. The energy of those exotic places is what the Australian design duo found most intriguing.

Structured jackets with glittering shoulders and capes paired with leather shorts and loose fitting trousers gave the range a mixed feeling of masculine dressing meets feminine luxe.

The line is set on a mostly a monochromatic color palette of black and white with flashes of pink, neon orange, glittering silver and gold.

Looks were styled with gold belts, floral necklaces and lace up booties and heels which added a softness to the strong silhouettes.

There were plenty of cocktail dresses with sculptural details and feather and metallic striped embellishments on gowns for Hollywood red carpet events. Young stars like Emma Roberts, Ariel Winter, Lily Collins and Kristen Bell who like 'notice me' details or power dressing should add these pieces to their wardrobes.

Dakota Fanning in Stella McCartney at the Now is Good London Premiere

Dakota attended the Now is Good premiere in London wearing this glittering Stella McCartney curve-hugging gown.

The young actress teamed her sparkling look with high-shine Jimmy Choo sandals, a Lanvin envelope clutch and pink sapphire ring by J/Hadley.

Not a big fan of Dakota's style, it seems that she always looks like a little girl playing dress up. We believe this look, right here, proves that point.

What do you think of her look? Is this the right style of gown for Dakota?
