Collections to Covet: For Love & Lemons About a Girl Spring 2013

I am sure many of you will not know whether to be offended by For Love & Lemons About a Girl Spring 2013 collection or to applaud them for their unconventional sartorial approach to their lookbook. The collection is filled with sheer fabrics in sugary sweet hues, romantic ruffles and flirty skirts. These bold yet feminine pieces are perfect for the girl who wants to wake up her spring/summer wardrobe while breaking all the rules of fashion to set her own trends.

The theme of the lookbook is to capture the delicate innocence and awkward substance of 1970's teen angst. Goal achieved! Model Ashley Smith rocks some dreamy ensembles in fun and rebellious ways. The photographs capture and invoke that feeling of nostalgia without giving the cheap vibe or look of a modern day promotional model. You know what I am talking about, because you've all seen those pictures.

Here are a few of my favorite looks from the For Love & Lemons Spring 2013 collection:

Free People's Latest Lookbook: Girl Meets Boyish Style

It's hard to believe, but we are ramping up to the end of the dogs days of summer. As we head into August and trickle into September, the days will still be warm, but the nights will be chilly. Dressing for this time can be a bit tricky, however Free People's latest collection is spot on for function and style during these last days of summer. The collection is filled with youthful and borrowed-from-the-boys looks: over-sized cardigans paired with lace trimmed denim shorts, worn-in varsity jackets and rugby striped cardigans teamed with easy tanks, and denim and feminine crochet bikini bottoms.

Which looks will you be adding to your wardrobe?
