2012 Academy of Country Music Awards~ Best Dressed

The Academy of Country Music Awards showcased a ton of fabulous fashions on the red carpet in Las Vegas last night. Country music stars traded in their cowboy boots and vintage denim for show stopping heels and dresses with plenty of sparkle! Here are our top five picks for the best dressed celebrities.

Taylor Swift - The multi-talented star looked sensational in this sleek, white, J. Mendel column gown featuring cutouts. We have secretly been waiting to see which celebrity would wear this gown, it was one of our favorites from New York Fashion Week. Taylor finished her look with Christian Louboutin pumps and Lorraine Schwartz gems.

Jennifer Nettles - The Sugarland singer floated down the red carpet in this electric pink, custom Max Azria gown featuring a neon yellow beaded waist. Jennifer added Kimberly McDonald earrings and a red Edie Parker clutch to complete her colorful look.

Miranda Lambert - The gorgeous singer walked the red carpet in this glittering, Randi Rahm, gold sequin, halter dress. Miranda added platform pumps and Fred Leighton jewels to complete her glamorous look.

Nicole Kidman - The gorgeous actress accompanied her crooner husband on the red carpet last night wearing this sleek, black, L'Wren Scott, sheath dress featuring a sheer neckline. Nicole added strappy red heels, a black clutch and Cartier jewels to complete her beautifully classic look.

Carrie Underwood - At first glace we thought Carrie was wearing a white gown, but upon further investigation the singer wore a pale yellow, Abed Mahfouz, strapless gown with embellished details and a sexy thigh-high split. She added Jonathan Arndt gems, Oscar de la Renta shoes and a Swarovski bag to complete her flawless look.

New York Fashion Week RTW: BCBG Max Azria

Max and Lubov Azria helped kick off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week today in New York with a collection of color-blocked frocks, coats and separates.

It was a rainbow of color, ranging from deep blues to olives to tangerine, mostly in symmetrical shapes as models strutted the catwalk. Adding to that symmetry was a touch of androgyny with models sporting boyish hairstyles and minimal make-up.

Mixed in with the blocking was a collection of lush furs as cover ups against the presumably future fall weather.

Models also carried tailored bags matching each look color-wise.

New York Fashion Week: Herve Leger by Max Azria

Herve Leger by Max Azria’s Spring 2012 collection was fierce and electric, with bold, “look-at-me-now” dresses that wrapped the body in tight embrace. Metallic gold and silver intermingled with striking black and stark white marked the collections colors. The collection appeared to be various cuts of the same above the knee dress pattern. However, what made the dresses unique were the details: asymmetrical beading, skin baring cutouts and a variety of fabrics. The models slicked back hair and minimal make-up were a stark contrast to the glamorous dresses. Each dress was paired with leather strap gladiator boots, further accentuating the fierceness of the collection.

Any piece from the Herve Leger Spring 2012 collection would be a complimentary addition to the modern woman’s closet. Appealing to the 20-30ish crowd, the sexy dresses would be perfect for the woman who wants to stand out in the crowd, presumably while sipping a cocktail at an upscale function. Whether paired with stilettos and smoky eyes or flats and a ponytail, the sky is the limit with this outstanding collection.
