Elizabeth Banks in Versace at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire LA Premiere

Elizabeth Banks continued her sensational red carpet style streak wearing this striking curve-hugging, sherbet hued Versace strapless gown featuring embellished metallic and gold detailing on the bodice for the LA premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The gorgeous actress styled her look with a bronzed Rauwolf clutch, gold and bronzed Jimmy Choo sandals and Melinda Maria's, Matchstick earrings.

Glossy tresses and a kohl-rimmed eye provided the finishing touches to her captivating ensemble.

I love this look on Elizabeth, I cannot decide which of her premiere looks is my favorite, this or the Elie Saab.

What do you think of Elizabeth's look?

Going For Gold- Medal Winning Metallics for Lips and Nails

The Olympics may be over, but the makeup is staying on.

Metallic medal-winning looks are on trend this late summer and carrying on to early autumn. Flaunt bronze, silver and gold and get yourself noticed on the podium.

Combine smoky glamorous eyes with metallic lips for a smouldering look.

In this fashionista’s opinion, you can’t beat the Perfect Metallic eyes shadows from Chanel.  They are simply gorgeous colours and the textures make them easy to apply. They are light reflective so you can pat on a lot to get a sultry look or less to give a sexy polished day look. For the best effect, sweep on a block of colour with a brush and use the tip of your finger to pat in place and blend in the edges.

Go for gold eye makeup for a special occasion or apply it lightly for a day look that will get you noticed by the crowd. For night, combine with a liquid eye liner for a va-va- voom head turning wow factor. I like the gel eyeliners but caution on the application technique. Apply the liner first, then pat one of these eye-popping reflective shades on top of the liner- otherwise the shadow will get messed up with the liner and you will end up looking more like something out of Blade Runner than sexy sprinter!

One of the strongest colours is Soft Gold by Shu Uemura. For a softer look apply shadow on inner corners and under lower lashes skipping the liner.

Another strong transitional late summer look continuing to rock the autumn show catwalks is metal sheer shadow all over the lid. Bobbi Brown makes a simply fabulous one in Burnt Sugar. Use a darker colour like Chocolate also from Bobbi Brown instead of liner for a sexy natural look- who says you can’t smoulder at the beach while catching the last of the summer rays?

Bobbi Brown also makes the perfect metallic lipsticks. They are a bit dry, so put on some lip balm first to soften it down.

To finish the look, use a light reflective foundation. My personal favourite is Touche Eclat Foundation by YSL. It gives your skin a glow that lasts the whole day.

Have fun with metallic. Be bold, go for it and combine it with the on trend A/W eye popping optical designs for your own medal – winning look that will surely get you noticed.
