Kate Upton's Sam Edelman Ad Campaign 2013

Seems those rumors of Vogue's Anna Wintour trying to ice Kate Upton out of the high fashion world are fading away as quickly as Rachel Zoe's fashion designer dreams. Upton has just been named the face of Sam Edelman shoes and will front the brands upcoming campaign.

The 20-year-old beauty has been fast-tracking her fashion career, grabbing the covers of Cosmopolitan's November 2012 issue and Vogue UK's January 2013 issue, not to mention, posing for a sportswear fashion editorial in US Vogue's November 2013 issue.

I love the black and white images. They have an Old Hollywood cinematic feeling that reminds me a bit of Anna Nicole Smith's Guess campaign from the 1990's. I am sure that's mostly due to Upton's sex appeal and fabulous curvy physique.

What do you think of Kate's Sam Edelman campaign images? Do you think she is a good fit for the footwear brand?

Memorial Day Weekend Style: Day and Night

Cookouts, parties, parades and race cars can only mean one thing: Memorial Day Weekend has arrived. Most likely you have a few events in your social calendar this weekend and that calls for a few wardrobe changes.

Keep your look daytime casual and simple during the day and appropriate for the weather. Too many accessories and high heels could make for an uncomfortable outing -- you'll be too busy adjusting or wobbling around a crowded event rather than focusing on conversation and enjoying good food and drinks. Breathable, breezy fabrics and light colors mix for the perfect outfit.

Take your evening look up a few stylish notches, but still keep comfort in mind. Think more cocktail chic -- like a sensational shift dress or a pretty lace dress paired with a wedge heel. Keep your accessories light. Stacked bangles or a dramatic pair of earrings will give your look just the sensational spark it needs to be complete.
