Manic Jewels

When one thinks of the words "manic trout," they generally conjure up images of erratic fish.

Manic Trout is, instead, a jewelry outlet gaining an international following.

Created by Sierra Bailey, the website offers "very different and very colorful" jewelry made with everything from wire to upcycled antique buttons.

Bailey was living in the Hudson Valley area of New York, but moved to Austin, Texas, to expand her business.

"Expect us to be bigger and bolder this year," Bailey says.

Bailey is working on a luxe line of jewelry, as well as a unique approach to necklaces using cut-up vintage scarves. Bailey is also working on a wedding jewelry line (and she has a good excuse -- she's getting married in September).

Bailey prides herself on her wire-wrapped "bling" rings, which cost about $35. "I wanted to make something chic, yet affordable," she says.
